How are the prices calculated?
The prices are calculated on a case-by-case, stone-by-stone, and plot-by-plot basis. Factors such as the size of the stone or plot, the condition of the stone/monument, distance from the operating area, and whether any special materials will need to be ordered for the project prior to the work being completed. During the consultation, we will also determine if it will be a flat rate for the services requested, an hourly rate of $60 per hour, rounded down to the nearest 15-minute intervals, or a combination of the two, whichever is cheaper.
Do you use pressure washers on the stones or monuments?
Absolutely NOT! Pressure washers can greatly damage a stone or monument. We take great care in ensuring all stones and monuments are treated with the greatest of care and respect. Only soft scrubbing techniques are used with soft-bristle brushes and soft plastic scrapers.
Do you use any chemicals on the monuments or headstones?
We only use the industry-recommended D2 Biological solution and Endurance Monument and Gravestone Cleaner from Atlas Preservation to clean any stone or monument. These are safe to use on the stones, do not degrade them over time like harsh chemicals, and also safe for surrounding plant life and animals, while at the same time seep deep into the pres of the stone and attack the biological growth (immediately as well as over time) to ensure the safest clean for any headstone, monument or statue!
After a cleaning, do I see immediate results, or does it take time?
Both! After the initial cleaning, you will see immediate improvement with the stone or monument; however, it may not be back to its original state. The D2 Biological solution and Endurance Monument and Headstone Cleaner will penetrate the stone (As grave stones and monuments are made of porous stone) and continue to work over time. You may see improvements to the stone’s condition for up to three months after the initial cleaning!
Are the services a “one and done deal,” or can I request multiple visits for upkeep?
We offer one-time cleanings and visits as well as annual plans that include cleaning on a quarterly basis, regular visits for upkeep (trimming and edging) as well as any of the add-ons to include facetime visits if you are unable to make it on a special date (i.e. birthday or anniversary) and flower delivery.
